The structure of the CERFS is the one of a flexible research group and consists of personnel employed "per projects", up to half-time, members of the teaching staff already employed on research positions (from research assistent untill main researcher of first degree).

The coordination of the Center is carried on since the creation of CERFS in 1991 by the founder of CERFS Horia-Nicolai Teodorescu, member correspondent of the Romanian Academy.

Associate director is Lecturer Adrian Iulian Brezulianu, PhD, who has worked at CERFS since 1991, while he was still a student. CERFS includes a number of openings which are temporarily covered, (on a time-determinated basis, by PhD students, according to the necessities of the projects.
